Portland Waterfront

Portland Waterfront is an iconic location in Portland, Oregon, featuring Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park along the Willamette River.

Decorated by pink cherry blossom trees in the spring and rich orange leaves in the fall, Portland’s Waterfront is one of the most iconic locations in the Portland Metropolitan area. Once a bustling highway, Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park spans over 36 acres along the Willamette River. Shortly after the 1974 removal of Harbor Drive, a major milestone in the freeway removal movement, the park was opened to the public in 1978. The waterfront gem offers stroll-able, bikeable, and walkable public park access with both historical and cultural monuments. Through every season and weather, the Waterfront Park bustles with events, public attractions, and festivals.
